In the spring of 2000, Beatrice launched Tashka by Beatrice with a small collection sold in local neighborhood boutiques. Her offerings now include five jewelry groups available nationwide.
Deeply interested in the strength of color, Beatrice is dedicated to creating jewelry that one dresses for. She has set out to alter the experience of getting dressed with her collection of radiantly colored pieces intended to be accessorized by attire. From polished to playful, the Tashka by Beatrice collection has been designed to explore the facets of femininity through color. Semiprecious stones ranging from muted pastels to bright primaries are all arranged in unexpected color combinations.
While managing a trend-driven jewelry boutique and apprenticing for the head designer, Beatrice earned her B.A. in Fashion Buying and Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She then joined the Federated Merchandising Group in product development for accessories and simultaneously began developing her own jewelry designs. Moving to DKNY as merchandise manager for handbags, she gained insight into the accessories business essential to starting her own company.
Through the years, Beatrice continues to be motivated by unconventional sources of inspiration. Her love of travel inspires and motivates her to create new collections season after season. She tries to pick a new destination each year to discover. She travels near and far to source materials for her designs.
Beatrice has recently allowed her line to evolve beyond the confines of jewelry alone and into the realm of lifestyle items. Her creativity knows no bounds and the expansion has allowed her to express her artistic impulses in a very fluid and organic fashion.
